Outdoor Education

Every school year 5th grade students have the opportunity to participate in a 3 day, Outdoor Education Program offered at Nature Bridge in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, under the Golden Gate Bridge. Student groups hike along the shores of Rodeo Beach, explore the geologic history of the area, investigate the inter tidal creatures in the marine lab, and work together to hike to the tops of nearby hillsides. Tide pools, wildflowers, unique rock formations, and trails offering spectacular views make the Golden Gate National Recreation Area the ultimate science classroom. The Nature Bridge Program is a sister program to Yosemite Institute.
